Louisiana

New Orleans and many populated areas along the Louisiana coast are in danger of going underwater by 2050 due to rising sea levels and loss of coastal buffers. In 2022, the City of New Orleans employed lobbyists who also worked for fossil fuel companies Baker Hughes, Entergy Services, and the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association.

The New Orleans Saints, whose stadium housed refugees from Hurrican Katrina in 2005, and the Ameican Red Cross both employed the same lobbyists as Brown & Root and the Louisiana Oilfield Contractors Association.
