Meta, the American Library Association, the AARP, and the Nature Conservancy all have initiatives to educate the public about the dangers of climate change. In 2022, Meta shared an Alaska lobbyist with the Usibelli coal mine, the ALA and the Nature Conservancy shared one with Chugach Alaska Corporation, and AARP shared one with ExxonMobil.

Under pressure from environmental activists, Wells Fargo announced in 2020 that it would no longer fund Arctic drilling. In 2022, the bank’s Alaska lobbying firm was Ashley Reed & Associates, which also lobbied on behalf of Armstrong Oil & Gas, Finnex LLC, and SES Midstream.
