DOGE and Big Tech
In Jan. 2025, shortly after Donald Trump was inaugurated, Bill Gates endorsed the idea of DOGE and said that it could be “a valuable thing.” Microsoft signed with a Musk lobbying firm the following week, and so did Google. The reality of DOGE has been a disaster, and Gates now says that DOGE cuts to USAID international aid programs are a case of “the world’s richest man killing the world’s poorest children.” Big Tech companies can hold Musk accountable by cutting ties with Musk’s lobbyists.
